According to the Kootenay Real Estate Board, data compiled in 2016 indicates that over half of our buyers were local (within the West Kootenays), followed by Alberta, then the Lower Mainland. It will be interesting to see how things shape up for 2017 which has proven to be a very hot market in the West Kootenays so far this year.
